The Vector Optics Tauron 5-50x60 VCO-5 MIL rifle scope offers a high degree of precision, thanks to its minute adjustability. A fine crosshair with a central aiming dot of 0.05 MRAD further contributes to the precision that this scope facilitates.

This rifle scope is equipped with HD-lenses, which are fully multi-coated. Thanks to the lenses, the coating and the 60 mm objective, the light transmission reaches 92%. This ensures bright, clear images even at higher magnifications. The ocular can be focused by turning it, after which the parallax can be adjusted using a turret on the left side of the scope.

Thanks to its extensive adjustability, the scope is very well-suited to benchrest shooting, F-Class and Field Target. The VCO-5 reticle is located on the second focal plane, which means it remains the same size when the magnification of the scope is increased. This ensures that the reticle remains clear, with fine lines that do not obscure the target.

The reticle is based on the MRAD scale, with subtensions of 0.25 MRAD. Using these subtensions as a reference, adjustments of the point of aim can be made quickly. The subtensions are accurate at a 40x magnification, which allows them to be used to estimate ranges and sizes. To improve its visibility, the central 0.05 MRAD dot can be illuminated in six levels of brightness. An empty space around the dot ensures that the target remains clearly visible.

Adjustment of the Vector Optics Tauron 5-50x60 VCO-5 MIL rifle scope can be done using the turrets. These turrets can be adjusted in fine steps of 0.05 MRAD. Each step provides an audible and tactile click, making the adjustments easily observable. Once the rifle scope is zeroed, the turrets can be released and set to zero again, while the zero stop helps with effortlessly returning the scope to its zero.

Nitrogen purging of the rifle scope ensures that the lenses do not fog up internally when the scope is subjected to fluctuations in temperature. The scope is also weatherproof, with a dustproof housing which is capable of submersion underwater.
