Pocket Knife Zero Tolerance 0450CF

This Zero Tolerance 0450CF pocket knife is designed by custom knife maker Dmitry Sinkevich, who used multiple high-end materials in an all-black design with subtle emerald green detailing.

The blade is made from CPM S35VN steel that combines a good corrosion resistance with a great toughness and excellent hardness of HRC 60-62. With this, the blade of the Zero Tolerance 0450CF is very hardwearing, making it hold its edge for a long time. An extremely hard DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating makes for a nice matt black friction reducing finish.

And while talking about reducing friction; it’s worth noting the blade rotates smoothly in KVT bearings, consisting of caged balls that are situated in recessed parts of the handle, sandwiching the blade play-free. A custom nut lets you adjust the preload of the bearings.

To give the all-black Zero Tolerance 0450CF some variation, Sinkevich choose to make the back plate of the contoured handle out of DLC coated titanium and the front plate of the from out of carbon fibre. Both materials are known for their great strength compared with their low weight. It makes for a very nicely balanced pocket knife.

You can open the blade with one hand by means of a flipper and the blade is subsequently locked with a titanium frame lock. As titanium isn’t the hardest of materials, a steel lockbar insert is used to prevent wear and to guarantee a play-free locking of the blade. Jimping on the back of the blade provides a secure spot to apply pressure with your thumb.

A small, subtle and yet eye catching detail is the use of emerald green anodised aluminium spacers at the back of the handle where you can also find a lanyard hole and it’s also the place where the tip-up pocket clip can be mounted both left and right.
