This is HikMicro

HikMicro is one of the leading manufacturers in thermal imaging equipment and the company’s goal is to make high quality equipment for professionals available for the commercial market. The company specialises in SoC (System-on-a-chip) and MEMS (microelectromechanical) design, development and manufacturing, which means they’re capable of implementing the latest technology into their products. HikMicro is part of the HikVision group.

Which HikMicro products do we sell?

Out of the extremely wide range of products of HikMicro, our focus lies on outdoor thermal imaging equipment for hunting and observation. In this, we distinguish four categories:

  • Monoculars: compact handheld spotting scopes that can easily be carried inside your pocket. They’re perfect for observation
  • Binoculars: with these it’s possible to observe with a steady image and where a monocular offers a 2D view, a binocular gives you a 3D view with more depth, meaning it’s easier to make out distances
  • Rifle scopes: whether it’s in dusk, total darkness or just in foggy daylight, by combining a rifle scope with a thermal imaging camera, you’ll have the best view in all circumstances
  • Clip-on scopes: these thermal imaging cameras can be attached to your normal rifle scope

All HikMicro thermal imaging equipment features an OLED display and has a NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference of less than 40 mK (milli-Kelvin), meaning the image is very detailed and small temperature differences are clearly displayed.

This is how HikMicro thermal imaging equipment works

All objects with a surface temperature above 0°C sends out electromagnetic waves or radiation, commonly known as infrared light. As soon as this radiation passes the objective lens, it’s caught on the sensor, which converts it into electrical signals. These signals are displayed on the OLED screen in what is referred to as a thermogram. For you and us, that’s the thermal image.
