This MDT Field Stock - Tikka T3/T3x SA – Black chassis has an aluminium core, making it incredibly rigid. It is provided with a polymer overmold, giving the stock a comfortable and warm feel, also in cold weather. Thanks to the traditional design, the chassis has an ergonomical shape which helps the shooter to shoot in a stable position. However, the design also offers numerous ingenious features that prove their worth both for hunting and competition shooting.

Firstly, the action is firmly secured within the chassis by the V-block bedding. This bedding is precisely machined to minimise tolerance and movement during firing. Another important feature is that of the free floating barrel, meaning the handguard and other parts (except the receiver) are not in contact with the barrel. Both features result in a more consistent performance of the rifle and help maximise shot accuracy. Furthermore, the chassis is compatible with AICS magazines to accommodate an extra level of reliability. AICS magazines are specifically designed for a consistent and reliable feeding method.

Thanks to its adjustability, the chassis can be used by nearly any shooter. The height of the cheek rest can be easily adjusted without the use of tools, but by means of a twisting knob underneath the rest. This enables the shooter to properly align with the scope. An additional benefit is that the bolt can be removed from the rifle when the cheek riser is set in its lowest position. Also, the length of pull can be adjusted by means of spacers that are included with the chassis.

The chassis also offers the possibility to mount accessories for versatile use. Multiple M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom of the forend allow the attachment of accessories like a bipod and more. Additionally, the swivel studs can be used for attaching a gun belt, but of course, other accessories with a conforming mount can be used as well.

Installing the action into the chassis is easy. The action of the rifle can be simply placed into the chassis and locked down tightly by means of two screws.
