Chassis MDT HNT26 Non-folding - Remington 700 SA

This MDT HNT26 Non-folding - Remington 700 SA chassis is the first MDT chassis specifically made for hunters. With an inner frame made of a magnesium alloy, this chassis is ultra-lightweight, but still extremely rigid and durable. The touch points on the rifle, for example the pistol grip, the forend and the buttstock are provided with carbon fibre. This gives the rifle a comfortable and warm feel, even in very cold weather. There are a lot more features to this lightweight chassis, making it one of the most complete upgrades for a hunting rifle, definitely in its weight range. We would like to highlight these features.

First of all, this hunting chassis by MDT is equipped with an adjustable cheek rest so the shooter can get a consistent and correct alignment with the scope. Adjusting it is done by loosening the two screws underneath the cheek riser. Of course, it is also possible to adjust the length of the stock with the included spacers. This way, the LOP (length of pull) can be set correctly to fit any shooter.

An extremely ergonomically shaped pistol grip allows for a natural and comfortable placement of the trigger finger and 90° trigger pull. The carbon fibre stock has a foam filling that creates two very useful effects. Firstly, the foam filling reduces felt recoil when firing, which allows for more accurate placement of follow-up shots. Secondly, the foam helps deadening the sound, which is beneficial to a stealthy hunt.

The carbon fibre forend is provided with M-LOK slots on the top and sides. This version furthermore features an integrated ARCA rail at the bottom for quickly and easily mounting accessories like a bipod, tripod. Additionally, the rear and front sling swivel mounts on the chassis provide extra mounting possibilities.

The chassis is compatible with AICS magazines, which are specifically designed for a consistent and reliable feeding method. Accidental release of the magazine when you are on the go can be tricky, as the magazine could fall on the ground and get dirty. This is prevented because of the cleverly integrated magazine latch in the trigger guard.

Needless to say, the action is firmly secured into the chassis by its V-block bedding, which is precisely machined. This brings tolerance and movement during firing to an absolute minimum, resulting in better shot accuracy.
