HikMicro Stellar 3.0 SQ35L Thermal Imaging Rifle Scope

The HikMicro Stellar 3.0 SQ35L thermal imaging rifle scope has a rather low NETD (thermal sensitivity) of only 15 mK. The lower the NETD value is, the smaller the differences in temperature have to be in order for them to be detected by the Stellar 3.0. That low NETD of 15 mK allows the thermal imaging rifle scope to detect even the smallest differences in temperature, which are then shown on the OLED display, which has a resolution of 2560x2560 pixels with a decent frame refresh rate of 50 Hz. You can even send those files to a smartphone over Wi-fi by using the device’s Hotspot function. The Stellar 3.0 thermal imaging rifle scope has a traditional design on the outside and it looks just like a conventional rifle scope, except it has all the useful functions of a thermal imaging rifle scope. Aside from observing in the dark, which the Stellar 3.0 is exceptionally well suited for, it can also be used to determine the point of impact. The thermal imaging rifle scope features an LRF -or laser rangefinder-, that is located right on top of the objective. That LRF communicates directly with the thermal imaging rifle scope’s internal ballistic calculator. That ballistic calculator determines the point of impact based on the distance measured, greatly improving accuracy.

The HikMicro Stellar 3.0 SQ35L thermal imaging rifle scope has a durable housing that can take a hit and it has a weight of 830 grams without the external battery. It uses two internal rechargeable Lithium batteries and one replaceable and rechargeable 18650 battery. Combined, those batteries provide a battery life of nine hours. The housing has an IP67 waterproof rating, which ensures it’s entirely dust- and waterproof. This thermal imaging rifle scope can be submerged in water to a depth of one metre for 30 minutes maximum.
