Bipod MDT CKYE-POD Gen3 Double Pull

The MDT CKYE-POD Gen3 Double Pull is a bipod with extendable legs. It is manufactured from exclusively metal parts, making it robust and durable.

This bipod is an evolution of the CKYE-POD Gen2, as the name implies. Tolerances are improved and thus lower, the head can no longer be swivelled in response to continuous feedback from shooters and the legs lock when they are fully retracted. The latter ensures that the legs cannot be extended without pressing the appropriate button. This means that they do not extend by accident, in case they snag on equipment, branches or on a barricade as used in positional shooting.

When canting the rifle on the bipod, there is an even greater range of motion than on the Gen2 thanks to a head which can theoretically rotate 360 degrees. In practice the cant is only limited by the forend of the rifle, which means that a suitable shooting position can always be found. The extendable legs are also contributing to this, thanks to their individual adjustability. The spread of the legs can also be changed, allowing for even greater flexibility.

Folding and unfolding the MDT CKYE-POD Gen3 Double Pull bipod is simple, using large, sturdy buttons. The bipod has two stances: a horizontal, folded setting and one at an angle of 90 degrees. The ‘Double Pull’ in its name refers to the extendable parts of the bipod: two extendable parts are contained in each leg, allowing the bipod to extend from 158 mm all the way up to 469 mm. This versatility in height is owed to the combination of both the extendable legs and the adjustment in spread.

Mounting the bipod is straightforward, utilising a quick-release system which fits both Arca-Swiss and Weaver/Picatinny mounting rails. The head can also be replaced with other A.R.M.S. #17-compatible heads.
