Muzzle Brake Precision Armament Hypertap Slim - Stainless

The stainless Hypertap muzzle brake slim from Precision Armament achieves a very high recoil reduction. By drilling out pilot holes on the top, the muzzle brake can be adapted to also reduce muzzle climb.

Mounting is straightforward thanks to the timing nut, making shims unnecessary for the installation of the muzzle brake. After mounting, the four gas ports are facing in a horizontal direction on both sides, at a backwards angle of 35 degrees. This angle ensures that potential debris that is propelled from the muzzle brake does not hit the shooter.

On the top and bottom of the muzzle brake, six pilot holes are located. These holes need to be pointed directly upwards and downwards when mounting the muzzle device. They can be drilled out to reduce vertical recoil or the rotation of the rifle when firing, making the Hypertap adjustable to the rifle it is mounted on. As such, an optimal reduction in recoil and muzzle climb can be achieved, ensuring that the shooter can stay on target as much as possible.

The difference between the slim and regular Hypertap muzzle brakes is simply one of size: the slim version has slightly smaller dimensions. This results in a reduction in weight of up to 40 percent (50 grams), depending on calibre. The loss of weight also leads to a very minor loss in performance – Precision Armament states a reduction of around three percentage points. This makes the difference mostly one of weight and aesthetics.
