FX DRS MKII Redline Standard

The FX DRS MKII Redline Standard is a powerful PCP air rifle with a traditional looking styling. What immediately catches the eye, is the seeming absence of an air reservoir, giving the FX DRS MKII Redline Standard a nice and low profile. The Swedes have done this by placing the air reservoir as a shroud around the barrel. A very neat solution that gives the FX a very minimalistic look with clean lines.

The FX DRS MKII Redline Standard may have traditional lines, but inside it’s crammed full with the latest airgun technology. And, of course, it comes as standard with various tuning options; from an externally adjustable regulator to an adjustable preload of the hammer spring. We’ll pick some of the highlights for you:

Air tube barrel shroud

We’ve already mentioned it; the FX DRS MKII Redline Standard has the air reservoir mounted around the barrel. No cylinder or bottle under the barrel, which offers the advantage of the profile being lowered significantly. This will aid you in your shooting stance, but also means that transporting and storing the FX DRS MKII Redline Standard will take less space. The air capacity is 260 cc.

Adjustable regulator

To have the FX DRS firing every shot with the same pressure, this PCP uses a MKII AMP regulator. This regulator is externally adjustable, making it a breeze to adjust the pressure to match the chosen pellet or slug. Doing this ensures the highest possible accuracy and guarantees an ultimate shot consistence.

Adjustable hammer spring

After taking off the stock, the hammer spring preload can be adjusted. With more preload on the hammer, the valve will stay open longer, letting through more air. And with less preload, the valve will closer quicker, letting through less air. You can experiment with this and try to keep air pushing behind the pellet or slug for as long as possible, without an excess of air disturbing the balance when the projectile exits the barrel.

High Power plenum

FX is well-known for spending a lot of time perfecting their plenums. This is the air chamber (pre-chamber) between the regulator and the valve. It’s the exact amount of regulated compressed air that is used to propel one projectile. FX has chosen 25 cc as optimum capacity.

Superior STX barrel system

The Superior STX barrel system features a removable liner with rifling that’s pressed in from the outside. This makes for a very smooth inner surface and very fluent rifling. All this is done to minimise friction and maximise sealing around the pellet or slug. This MKII version enables you to remove the liner and switch it without the need of bleeding air from the pressurised shroud.

Laminated stock

The FX DRS MKII Redline Standard comes with a beautiful laminated stock. The advantage of laminated wood is that is doesn’t warp normal wood would with changes in humidity. It combines the advantages of a synthetic stock with the classic and comfortable feel of wood.

Adjustable trigger

To get the very best out of the FX DRS MKII Redline Standard, its trigger is fully adjustable. With this, you can adjust the trigger exactly as you like it, making its feel match your shooting style. Both the first and second stage are adjustable and the trigger blade is adjustable in distance and height, but can also be rotated for perfect ergonomics.

30 MOA scoperail

A 30 MOA Weaver/Picatinny scope rail offers a solid mounting base for a large variety of scope mounts. As the rails are tilted to the front with a declination of 30 MOA, mounted scopes will have a wider adjustment range when shooting at longer distances.

Cocking and filling

With the magazine in place, cocking the FX DRS is done easily by pulling the very subtle cycling side lever on the right side towards you. And to quickly refill the air reservoir, there’s a filling hole on the right side, into which you can put a fill probe. Easy!
