This Kershaw Salvage pocket knife has exactly that what you -as a user- are looking for in a pocket knife. It offers plenty of cutting edge with a blade that has just the right length for optimal control and the handle is thick enough to properly hold it.
The blade has a reverse Tanto shape, so not the front but the back of the blade has an angular edge to it. The cutting edge has a lovely curve to it and is just long enough for you to keep cutting uninterrupted. There’s light jimping on the back of the blade for added grip and it allows you to use your thumb to put even more force on the blade. The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV steel, which is known for its excellent edge retention and solid corrosion resistance. That steel is also quite strong -which means it can take a hit- and it has a Stonewash finish.
The handle is made of steel with olive nylon overlays on both sides. They add a little more body to the handle, so it feels even better to hold in your hands. The blade can be opened with the flipper opening, after which the blade is kept in place by the frame lock. It will keep the blade in place firmly, allowing you to put quite a lot of force on the Kershaw Salvage pocket knife while cutting.
