The MTC Optics Copperhead Safari F2 4-16x44 AMD2 rifle scope has a compact design that is just as functional as comparable full-size models. That compact design means the rifle scope takes up less space and it weighs only 690 grams, so it won’t weigh down your rifle too much. It has an objective with a 44 mm diameter and the lenses are multi-coated, resulting in a decent light transmission. That light transmission guarantees clear images in several lighting circumstances, so you can always observe and aim properly.

Aiming is done with the AMD2 reticle, located on the second focal plane. This means it will retain its original size at all times, even as you magnify the image. That AMD2 reticle has a red illuminated dot, which can also easily be seen in dusk. The illuminated reticle features six brightness levels and you can easily switch between them by using the turret located on top of the parallax-turret on the left side of the 30 mm tube. The parallax can be adjusted from 10 yards (9.14 metres) to infinity.

It has a field-of-view of 7.9 metres at a distance of 100 metres at minimal magnification and 1.9 metres at a distance of 100 metres on maximum magnification, allowing you to keep a clear overview. The rifle scope has a durable, impact-resistant aluminium housing with a brown finish. It’s waterproof and shock-resistant and it’s nitrogen-purged to prevent the lenses from fogging up on the inside.
