Thermal Imaging Camera HikMicro TS16-50

The HikMicro TS16-50 is a binocular thermal imaging camera with very useful specifications. The Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) for example, is as low as ≤40 mK. The NETD number shows you how small the difference in temperature are that can be detected and displayed. The lower the NETD, the more detailed the image.

Your detection range is a staggering 1471 metres, meaning the HikMicro TS16-50 binocular thermal imaging camera enables you to identify an 1.7 metres high object at that distance. The field of view is 12.42°x9.95° and you can switch between three magnifications, them being: 1x, 2x and 4x.

An internal memory of 32 GB lets you store screenshots and videos, which you can download through the USB port or by means of data transfer through wifi to your smartphone. The wifi also lets you use your smartphone as a secondary screen. The rechargeable lithium battery offers a operating time of up to seven hours.

The thermal radiation is detected with a 640x512 17 µm sensor, after which it’s converted into a thermal image that’s displayed on the 0.39” 1024x368 OLED screen. There’s also a 1080x960 sensor to transfer the optical image into an image on the display. By combining the optical and thermal image, a bi-spectrum image is created, making for a clear and very detailed image. You can adjust the image with an adjustable objective.

A very nice feature is the face the HikMicro TS16-50 thermal imaging camera has a built-in GPS module that not only displays the location of the user, but also the location of the object you’re watching. Shown are not only longitude and latitude, but also the altitude.

The housing is dust-free, while also being able to withstand being dipped into water, all conform the IP67 norm.
