The Vector Optics Tauron 5-25x56 VTA-8 MIL rifle scope offers a high degree of precision, thanks to its minute adjustability. A fine crosshair with a central aiming dot of 0.05 MRAD further contributes to the precision that this scope facilitates.

This rifle scope is equipped with HD-lenses, which are fully multi-coated. The lenses, the coating and the 56 mm objective ensure a bright, clear image even at higher magnifications. The ocular can be focused by turning it, after which the parallax can be adjusted using a turret on the left side of the scope.

Thanks to its extensive adjustability, the scope is very well-suited to long range shooting. The VTA-8 reticle is located on the first focal plane, which means that the reticle magnifies along with the image. This ensures that the subtensions on the reticle remain accurate along the entire magnification range, allowing easier adjustments of the point of aim.

The reticle is based on the MRAD scale, with subtensions of 0.25 MRAD. Using these subtensions as a reference, adjustments of the point of aim can be made quickly. A ‘Christmas tree’ style design provides numerous marks that can be utilised when compensating for distance and wind direction. To improve its visibility, the central 0.05 MRAD dot and a central part of the reticle can be illuminated in six levels of brightness. An empty space around the dot ensures that the target remains clearly visible.

Adjustment of the Vector Optics Tauron 5-25x56 VTA-8 MIL rifle scope can be done using the turrets. These turrets can be adjusted in fine steps of 0.1 MRAD. Each step provides an audible and tactile click, making the adjustments easily observable. Once the rifle scope is zeroed, the turrets can be set back to zero. The zero stop feature helps with effortlessly returning the scope to its zero, as it blocks the top turret from turning back further.

Nitrogen purging of the rifle scope ensures that the lenses do not fog up internally when the scope is subjected to fluctuations in temperature. The scope is also weatherproof, with a dustproof housing which is capable of submersion underwater.
