Walther PDP Compact 5"

This Walther PDP 5” is the Compact version of the well-known pistol. A shorter grip results in a more compact frame, which retains the 5” barrel to maintain its accuracy.

The Walther PDP in all its variants is a highly appreciated pistol, for good reason. It is reliable, accurate and has an excellent trigger. The same can be said for this 5” edition, providing a relatively long barrel for better shooting performance. Thanks to the longer barrel, the gun is more accurate, while the greater length and higher weight of the barrel and slide also reduce the recoil impulse. A slide cut allows for mounting a red dot, enabling the shooter to fully capitalise on the high accuracy of the gun.

Chequering is applied around the front of the pistol grip, while both sides and the rear of the grip also feature texturing to improve grip on the gun. Similarly, the front of the trigger guard is also chequered, as it is used by some shooters to improve their grip on the PDP. In order to smoothly rack the Compact 5” Walther PDP, the slide features serrations in the front and back in order to provide extra traction.

Walther’s attention to detail is evident in the trigger design: a ‘Performance Duty Trigger’ or PDT is fitted in this PDP variant. The trigger offers a light trigger pull of around 5.7 pounds (2.6 kg), with a very short reset. An ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release further contribute to the ease of use of the PDP.
